Leave your fast pace behind, and retreat to the heart of beautiful Wears Valley to this charming home. It's bright and light on the inside, and outside you can soak in the fresh mountain air, sunshine and valley sounds. When you are ready to venture out, the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a multitude of fun activities await you.

As you enter, the living area features a large wood burning fireplace, comfortable furniture and a large flat screen TV. The spacious, open floor plan also includes a full kitchen, a kitchen island with 2 stools and a dining table. The master bedroom has a king bed and an adjacent full bathroom with a standing shower.

Outside, relax in the rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoy the valley/mountain views. You will be serenaded by the soft (or roaring) sounds of the nearby creek and a variety of wildlife which could include turkeys, geese, farm birds or chirping frogs.

There is a carport available for the use of one car and a charcoal grill for cookouts.

One of the best parts about this home is the location. It's easy access with no steep roads. The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just 5 minutes away. And, the towns of Pigeon Forge and Townsend are an easy 15 drive. You can take a short cut through the Park and travel to Gatlinburg in 20-25 minutes.

Year-round fishing and seasonal pool access can be enjoyed nearby. Forest Creek has a membership for your use to the Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli located approximately 3 ½ miles from the cabin. Fishing pole rentals are available onsite during the summer season.

Make plans to go fishing, swimming, hiking or tubing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park located just 2 miles from the cabin via the Wears Valley/Line Springs Road entrance. Just inside the Park entrance is Metcalf Bottoms, a fantastic picnic area that features tables, grills, and the cool waters of the Little River.

Day driving trips through Cades Cove, to Clingmans Dome, around the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, to the Mountain Farm Museum & Mingus Mill near Cherokee or on the Tail of the Dragon always make fun & enjoyable outings. The entrance to the new scenic Wears Valley/Walland section of the Foothills Parkway which took over 50 years to complete is located just 2 miles from Forest Creek.

For local dining near the cabin, some favorites are: Grandmother’s Kitchen, Elvira’s Café, Pawpaw’s Cajun Kitchen, Sloppy Hog Burger Joint, and the Wear Valley Social Food Truck Park.

When you need some down time and also want to enjoy all the activities the Smoky Mountain area offers, Forest Creek is a great spot to land for a weekend or vacation getaway.

Renters with emotional support animals may only bring their ESA with them if they are staying in a pet friendly cabin and pay the relevant $75.00 non-refundable pet fee. Renters with service animals for a disability are explicitly protected under both federal and state law. The ADA defines service animals as dogs that have been “trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability.” Service animals are explicitly protected under both state and federal law, and, as such, are welcome in any of our cabins.
