Located in the prestigious Homestead In Wears Valley Subdivision, Lazy Bear Lodge offers comfortable accommodations in the heart of Wears Valley. This cabin offers wide, paved roads for easy travel to and from the cabin. As you drive to the cabin through the Homestead in Wears Valley, you will feel like you are driving through the National Park. There are cabins spread throughout the subdivision, but most are hidden from direct view - thus giving the feeling of being in the National Park.
When you arrive at Lazy Bear Lodge, a wide entrance ramp provides entry into the cabin without the trouble of maneuvering steps. The ramp is located on the right and there are steps to the left. The ramp takes one around the U-Shaped deck to the entrance. The steps on the left provide a more direct route to the front door entrance.
The U-Shaped porch offers comfortable seating for enjoying the views that surround the cabin. Take in the fresh mountain air as you sip your freshly brewed coffee. Mornings were meant to be enjoyed at Lazy Bear Lodge.
Lazy Bear Lodge is the quintessence of mountain living in the lap of luxury. This mountain home features warm, woodsy tones and a spacious great room - perfect for families and friends. The great room’s wood burning fireplace is perfect for enjoying crisp autumn nights and chilly winter evenings. (You must provide your own firewood). In addition, the fully equipped kitchen provides excellent counter space and is ready for you to show off your culinary skills. The main level includes 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 offers an en-suite bathroom with a King size bed. The room is cozy feeling and is perfect for mom and dad with infant. There are rocking chairs in this room to lull little ones to sleep. The bedroom is equipped with room darkening curtains and shades and is perfect for sleeping in on vacation days.
Upstairs offers 2 bedrooms that are simply perfect. Bedroom 2 is equipped with a Queen Size bed and offers a private balcony for enjoying midnight toasts and holding hands in the moonlight. There is a full sized bathroom on this level as well. Just across the hallway, Bedroom 3 offers 2 double beds perfect for families travelling with children.
Downstairs is dedicated to family fun and spending quality time with each other. Currently, there is a pool table to enjoy in the evenings as well as a TV and sitting area. The Twin bunks offer comfortable accommodations for the younger kids traveling with you.
Bedroom 4 is also located on this lower level. A King size bed welcomes late risers to tuck in and sleep awhile. There is a full bath on this level as well.
Located on the lower-level deck: A 4–6-person hot tub offers beautiful views and a great spot to relax and enjoy your Smoky Mountain Vacation.
Lazy Bear Lodge is approximately 10 miles from the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park via Line Springs Road. This is a great location for Smoky Mountain Cabins and for families who love the outdoors. Metcalf Bottoms is a fantastic picnic spot in the national park and features tables, grills, and the cool waters of the Little River. The entrance to the Foothills Parkway is approximately 7 miles away from Lazy Bear Lodge. In terms of local dining, Elvira’s Café offers farm to table dining in Wears Valley. Hillbilly’s Restaurant is a great choice for breakfast. The omelets and biscuits and gravy are tasty. Geppetto’s - a longtime Wears Valley favorite place to get pizza is operating out of their food truck at this point. Plans are to rebuild in 2023. We welcome them back to the valley. Grilled chicken salad, pizza, and their wonderful desserts are a must try while you are visiting here in Wears Valley.
The main attractions of Pigeon Forge (Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, Pigeon Forge Snow, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, etc.) are approximately 18 miles from Lazy Bear Lodge.

***You must provide your own firewood for the fireplace. You may purchase firewood at the gas station or at Knockout Firewood located at 3264 Wears Valley Road. Please, do not bring wood from home. You could introduce a new species into the environment here and it could wreak havoc on our forest area. Please wait and purchase your wood locally.
***Pool and fishing pond access is located approximately 10 minutes from the cabin at Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli off Happy Hollow Road in Wears Valley. You will need to bring your own fishing poles for the catch & release pond. There is no cost to use the pool or fishing pond. This is included in your rental.

We do not accept emotional support animals in non-pet friendly cabins since these animals are not protected by any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations regarding short term lodging in Tennessee. Renters with emotional support animals may only bring their ESA with them if they are staying in a pet friendly cabin and pay the relevant $75.00 non-refundable pet fee. Renters with service animals for a disability are explicitly protected under both federal and state law. The ADA defines service animals as dogs that have been “trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability.” Service animals are explicitly protected under both state and federal law, and, as such, are welcome in any of our cabins.
