If you’re taking a trip to the Smoky Mountains this spring, there are great views everywhere! Some of the best views can be seen from the porch of our Smoky Mountain cabins! Our Townsend and Wears Valley cabins also offer great views on the “peaceful side” of the Smokies.

We compiled a list of 5 great views you can find in the Smoky Mountains:

  1. Clingmans Dome

Welcome to the highest point in the Smoky Mountains! Clingmans dome is 6,643 feet. On a clear sunny day, you can see up to 100 miles into the mountains! (The range includes 7 different states!) No matter the day, the view is simply breathtaking. Bring your camera! The dome is accessible by car, however, you are required to walk up a steep ½ mile incline.

  1. Mt. LeConte

This hike will bring you to the third highest peak in the Smoky Mountains! The hike is roughly 13 miles round trip, make sure you have allotted the proper time. The trail itself isn’t extremely strenuous, but is at an incline the majority of the hike. Once you’ve reached the top, be aware that snow does fall until April on the mountain top. Enjoy the view and a hearty lunch! The Mt. LeConte lodge is located at the end of this hike. If you want lunch on your hike, you must order it two days in advance through the lodge. They even have sleeping accommodations if you wanted to take advantage of the views longer.
