If you’ve never been to the Great Smoky Mountains before, but have heard all about it, you’re probably looking forward to your first cabin in the Smokies. Planning a trip can seem intimidating, but there’s really nothing to it. Our website offers a variety of cabins that can accommodate many different types of guests, as well as an easy online booking option, so technically, booking your Smokies cabin is as easy as online shopping!

First Time in the Smokies

If it’s your first time in the Smokies, you probably want to see a little bit of everything, and if your timetable is on the larger scale, you can definitely do so. You might have already seen some pictures of Wears Valley or other Smokies’ destinations online. Regardless, get prepared to be astounded by the picturesque views and quaint cottages you’re about to experience first hand, as the real experience is much more mesmerizing.

A Perfect First Day in Wears Valley

So you’ve decided to go with a cabin rental in Wears Valley, Tennessee. Not only is this a great choice, but it will be one that you remember forever. Wears Valley is the perfect choice for Smoky Mountain newcomers, as it offers a range of different activities that aren’t too intense, all while being home to fantastic views and wildlife.

  • Why not start your morning off by sipping a hot beverage and gazing out at the lovely scenery your cabin has to offer? Followed by an early morning horseback riding session through the foliage. Afterwards, grab lunch at PawPaw’s Kajun Kitchen restaurant or a number of nearby restaurants, which are only a short drive away from the stables.

  • To work off your lunch, head to a popular hiking trail and take in the beauty of the nature all around you. When you have conquered your desired trail, turn in for the night and either cook a nice meal in your cabin’s fully-equipped kitchen, or head into town for a night out with friends.

  • Once you have safely travelled back to your Wears Valley cabin, relax your muscles in your cabin’s hot tub (if yours comes equipped with one), and look up to the stellar sky.

Hiking Trails for Beginners

If you’re interested in hiking but have never done so before, there are two amazing hiking trails in Wears Valley that are perfect for beginners. If this is you, keep an eye out for the Metcalf Bottoms and Lauren Falls trails.
When visiting the Great Smoky Mountains for the first time, there are many new things to see and do, which is why many newcomers tend to return to these mountains, year after year, to enjoy the gorgeous landscapes and unforgettable smells that this mountainous getaway provides.
