Halloween is a fun time of year! The temperatures are cooler; the fall colors are in full bloom, and it’s starting to feel like the best season of the year! Not only does fall include Thanksgiving, but Halloween as well! Get out your scariest, spookiest, costumes and head down to the Smokies for some ghoulish fun! Here are some Halloween activities in the Smokies that the whole family can enjoy!

Smoky Mountain Cabins

Spend your Halloween season nestled in the mountains in your very own Smoky Mountain cabin! You don’t have to leave the comfort of your own Smoky Mountain cabin rental to enjoy a Halloween activity this fall! We have the best cabins to choose from! How can you make this into a Halloween activity? First, be sure to bring the whole family for the occasion! Second, stop by the grocery store and load up on your favorite Halloween treats (candy corn, chocolate, cupcakes, snacks, etc). Third, by some decorations and create a haunted room in your cabin! That’s right, make this cabin in the woods a haunted one! Turn the lights off, throw some streamers, fill bowls with spaghetti and meatballs (eyes and brains!), add some scary music and watch the kids shriek! Lastly, make a fire, grab a cup of warm apple cider and enjoy the crisp mountain air. There’s nothing like a fall evening in the Smoky Mountains; we guarantee that!

Ripley’s Fright Nights

Only the bravest may enter! This frightening attraction is one of Gatlinburg’s premier Halloween attractions! Enter if you dare into a spooky, Halloween themed scare house this year! This will be the 18th year for this tradition and you MUST be a part of it! Travel through 85 years of famous movie monsters until the monsters of today! This Halloween activity takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of October, starting at 6 pm. (Also open on Halloween night!) Come if you dare and don’t come alone! This activity will surely get you in the Halloween spirit.

Kyker Farms Corn Maze

What is more scary than a haunted corn maze? Visit the Kyker Corn Maze for a haunted maze filled with zombies and fright! What better way to get into the Halloween spirit than a spooky Halloween maze? If you’re looking for an activity the whole family, take the trail and look out for ghouls and goblins! If you’re looking for an adventure, take the paintball blasters route! You will have the opportunity to shoot LIVE zombies with paintballs while taking creatures lurk all around!
