Cleaned Air hockey fan to better performance, as pucks were jagged & very little air flow---Player 2 gaming console was hanging by 1 bolt. removed table top, cleaned screen and tightened all bolts. fixed bath door in lower level so it would latch closed, found garbage and 2 missing remotes under couch, Hot tub was dangerously low on water, I filled to proper level, also picked garbage up on hillside. Aside from the improvements we made, the stay was great!
Management Response: Thank you for the review and the improvements made at Mountain Man. I do apologize, none of those issues had been reported to the office or to maintenance. We strive to keep everything in good working order but if no one calls us to let us know of an issue, we cannot get them corrected. Again, I do apologize. We would have gladly come out to your cabin and taken care of this for you had we known. It sounds like you know your way around an air hockey table and are a pretty handy fella! Thank you. We are glad that despite any shortcomings on our part that you had a great stay and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

We had a wonderful week-long stay, with friends. This cabin provided wonderful scenery, in serene surroundings, yet close enough to venture into Pigeon Forge for the day, and less than ten minutes to the Wears Cove entrance of the National Park. Avoiding the traffic headaches of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to get to the National Park was a huge asset on the two days we enjoyed the park. Our only complaint, we didn't see any bears. LOL!
Management Response: Oh it was so great having y'all stay with us! Glad you got to do so much while you were here. We will try to schedule a bear or two for y'all the next time you visit (haha!). Looking forward to seeing you again next year.

Mountain Man was a beautiful cabin our whole family stayed here the only thing the kids were disappointed that the pool table had been switched out for an air hockey table. It had everything we could ask for and just beautiful we even got to see a real bear hoping to book another family vacation with you we were very satisfied

The cabin was cozy and had everything this family of 11 needed for a wonderful Fall Break! The cabin was clean and well maintained. The kids loved the hot tub and games. The view of the mountains was beautiful.

Very pleasant. Cabin was exactly as described, very clean. Arrangements were made for our after hours arrival and everything went off without a hitch.
Management Response: It was a pleasure to meet you and truly hope to see you again!

The cabin is located a few minutes off Wears Valley Road. It is in a quiet area but at least 20-30 minutes travel time to the Parkway (main drag going through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg). There is tubing and restaurants nearby. You have to try Geppettos! There Italian food is amazing especially the pizza and desserts. They deliver too! Cades Cove is a great drive! There are waterfalls and swimming holes throughout the road trip. After our kids swam in the river they wanted nothing to do with the pool. We had to go back three different times. Bring a chair if you don't want to get in the cool water and bring tubes for the kids for some extra fun on the rapids. White water rafting on the Pigeon River is a must! Its a drive but well worth the experience. Its worth your time to get an early start each day as the traffic and the number of people out greatly increases. You can always take a nap!

It took some getting used to driving up and down the mountain, but it was nice to be away from the main strip. It was fun to drive to the different places and then back to the cabin. You didn't have all the noise from other people like at a hotel. You woke up to nature and beautiful scenery.

I just wish we'd booked more time! This was my second trip booked with Great Cabins in the Smokies, with a new group of friends. We lucked out with the weather big time, but regardless-- the view was great, the cabin was comfortable and pristine, and we just had a hella good time kicking back on the deck and in the hot tub. The rental staff was quick and friendly, and we had really zero issues with the whole process.
Management Response: Our kind of review! thanks
